Garage Ask is a service that stores your vehicle maintenance records so an AI assistant you choose (such as Claude or ChatGPT) can read and update them for you. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
openid and email permissions. We use your email to identify your account. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, files, or other Google data, and we do not keep Google's access token. To store your records, return them to your assistant when you ask, and keep the service secure. We use no automated decision-making about you.
Records are stored with Cloudflare (hosting and database) in the United States. Google processes your sign-in. The AI assistant you connect (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT) receives the records we return to it, under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. Garage Ask is intended for users in the United States.
Each account's records are kept separate, and every request is checked against your signed-in identity. Connections use HTTPS. No online service can promise perfect security.
You can ask us to export or permanently delete your account and all of your records by emailing hello@garageask.com from the address you signed in with. Self-service export and deletion tools are planned. You can also disconnect Garage Ask from Claude or ChatGPT at any time, which stops the assistant from accessing your records.
We keep your records until you delete them or your account. After a deletion request is completed, your records are removed from our database; hosting backups may persist briefly.
Garage Ask is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell signed-in users.
